My most recent and (arguably?) most fun experience: hopping on a plane to TZ and getting down and dirty with mkaa. (that's, ahem, Swahili for charcoal)
One of my first adventures: volunteering at a high school, living with a TFA teacher, learning oh so much about education in the US.
Once, I went to the south. It was pretty scary. Just kidding it was a pretty awesome adventure.
I spent a month teaching chemistry and English in a Druze village in Israel. An amazing learning experience for someone who had no idea what Middle Eastern culture is at all like. No seriously, I was not prepared at all.
